As someone who spends a great deal of time cooking and eating and photographing and styling and talking about and enjoying food, I am acutely aware of how fortunate I am to have such easy access to food of all types, any time I want or need it. If you are reading or cooking from this blog, I’m assuming you do too. I don’t take this good fortune for granted and believe that it is my responsibility—that it is our shared responsibility—to fasciliate awareness of food access issues and to give back to those who don’t have the same privileges; to help ease the burden where we can.

About the books

These FEEDback Books are mini cookbooks, (I call them “snackable books”) and they are my way of putting my money where my mouth is (quite literally) and it is my hope that they will help to raise awareness and maybe a little money for charities that are working to fight issues of food insecurity and food access all over the world. For $5 per book, you get your own (downloadable) copy to enjoy and just by cooking from it and using #feedbackbooks on your social media channels, you’ll be entered to win prizes from our generous donors in monthly giveaway drawings.  100% of the proceeds will be donated to charity. Donation reports will be published bi-yearly and regular FEEDback updates will be reported in my newsletter (sent out to subscribers).

Each book contains 6 to 8 original recipes, all designed to fit a specific theme. To help justify the cost, the recipes are written with a minimalist approach – I am not going to ask you to buy or use ingredients that aren’t necessary. And because food, to me, is all about community and I believe we are truly better together, I’m bringing in a special guest blogger or friend in each book who will contribute a recipe of their own as well. Eat Well + Do Good. That’s the idea.
